In this week’s episode, our friend Bow asks a fair question: “Why should we worry when the strongest woman in the universe is on our side?” This is an issue that we’ve wrestled with from time to time in both He-Man and She-Ra, and we’ve watched the writers invent several creative scenarios to challenge our all-powerful heroes, but perhaps no challenge has been greater than an over-confident Bow and Glimmer.
After Leech pulls off a heist of Queen Angela’s crown (it’s in for cleaning – for real), the rebel lieutenants recruit Peekablue and a new twigget to take on the horde directly and reclaim the crown. Because, hey, if She-Ra always rides to the rescue, any plan is sound. (Remember that crazy siege on Hordak’s castle?)
Then it’s up to Adora to teach her friends about leading responsibly, and she’ll do so through a combination of transformation-restraint and shame-based lectures. To succeed, the rebels must contend with Catra and Entrapta, a new evil princess with fabulous hair. Plus, Catra has a lion?
The story leads us into discussion about over-reliance on others and even a tale of crime on Scott’s notorious cut-through street.
