This week, we welcome our first A-list princess from the deep pantheon of She-Ra princesses (Frosta almost qualifies, but seems uncommitted to the cause). We’re talking about Flutterina, a butterfly-themed brawling beauty who appeared briefly during the Christmas special.
Flutterina’s metamorphosis has not yet begun when our episode begins. We must first hear about the icky “worms” in Glimmer’s garden that Snout Spout tries to wash away with his cybernetic elephant head. Then, She-Ra rides to the rescue of Sand Valley villagers whose food has been stolen by the evil Baron Condor. When she is captured due to a dirty trick, a girl named Small One with a special destiny comes to her aid.
Then, we hear one of the best lines in the series (which we almost missed, if Rebekah hadn’t pointed it out for us). You’ll have to tune in to experience the magical moment. You’ll be as dazzled as Bow was by what comes next.
Staying with the theme of metamorphosis, we’ll talk about awkward coming-of-age education and also monstrous princesses.
