Way back when Man-at-Arms had no mustache, and Teela was being raised in a bird’s nest, a man named Zanthor made a bad decision. Tempted by power, he gave Skeletor an artifact of incredible power: the Golden Disks of Knowledge, which contain knowledge from the wisest men and women in the universe. Skeletor used this knowledge to build Snake Mountain and then betrayed Zanthor, who was sentenced by the Eternian government to live as a line drawing in the Phantom Zone.
Now Zanthor wants to make things right. He wants out of the Phantom Zone, so he can steal back the disks and atone for his crime.
But here’s the important part … Even though he’s a cosmic criminal, responsible for the tyrannical reign of a skeleton-faced strongman, you can totally trust him. Because he feels all kinds of bad about the whole thing.
And here’s the other important part: He can’t just tell you where the disks are – he has to show you.
